Description

Following the snowstorms of last winter, about a hundred bricks form the northern facade of this building fell to the sidewalk. Shortly afterward, it was taped off and a notice to the owner to immediately demolish was posted. Nothing ever happened, the notice has been taken down and the tape lasted about a week. The building at this address has been in a state of neglect for years. Vegetation is growing through the bricks and structure and more of the north facing facade will fall this winter following freeze thaw cycles. The bricks are already bulging out and vegetation is pushing through. Additionally, the western wall has a slight lean towards the adjacent residential parking lot. The roof is completely collapsed and full size trees are growing from the ground floor to above the height of the building. This building is unsafe and needs to be fixed or demolished before someone gets hurt. Workers from the business across the street park on sidewalk under the collapsing facade on almost a daily basis.
