I was in contact with a friend in management at NYSDOT Region 1. He wrote:

"The comment is correct - DOT has a contract with Kubricky Construction to construct two roundabouts at the entrances to the Luther Forest Tech Park. The one mentioned in the message will be at the 9&67 intersection with Stonebreak Road. The other one will be on Route 67 at the south entrance to the Tech Park.

I anticipate that construction will start as soon as the weather improves."

With the 2 new circles going in in Round Lake, we could really use one here. It is a nightmare trying to get in or out of Malta Gardens. I would estimate close to 10,000 cars a day go in and out Taddeo Road. From what I see, people don't just go to work and come home, they are in and out of the park as many as twenty times a day, and this makes for a lot of traffic that you would not expect. We need one of those DOT rubber hose things with the box that logs how many cars go in and out Taddeo Rd.

This would give you a good idea of how badly we need a circle here.

I see that Woodfield Blvd across the street from Taddeo is getting a divided entrance. Is this in prep for a new circle ? Seems like a lot of work for such a short road. I watched another accident at this intersection the other day. I don't think anyone would object to a circle at this location. It just makes sense. Money may be an issue through, and we need a street light here, it is pitch black, and that adds to the danger.
