Our neighbourhoods outdoor pool which has a TEN WEEKS of the year window to be open is STILL closed for constructon. I am told the work cannot be done because of inclement weather. This isn't California, buildings go up (and how!) around town whether its raining or -30, tarps and heaters are used. It is clear city managers are incapable of putting pressure on a negligent cotractor. This is a LARGE quality of life issue for people in this neighbourhood who don't have thousands of dollars to spend joining a yacht club.
I don't understand why work couldn't have started earlier or at the very least why they can't do one pool at a time as there are mulitple pools.
If this was the private sector, heads would be rolling !!
Toronto has some beautiful outdoor pools, they are the life blood of the community in the summer heat.
