I have left several complaints about this problem. Only after a threat to sue if my child gets injured was there ANY action taken by the city. And that was only a breif patrolling. People drag race down my section of the street every night. It is unsafe. Yelling at people to slow down does nothing. They just wave it off. Checking the mail, watering my garden, letting my kids play, going to work, leaving my house for anything is dangerous. I walk to work, or ride my bike. Cars rarely slow down. Some speed up. It is a very convenient residential street, that people treat like a regular 35+ mph street. Something seriously needs to be done, but the city will brush it off until someone dies. Which i have heard has been close to happening.

That is just plain sad. History in this country has always been that way. Wait until something bad happens and then do something when it's too late. I don't understand why the law needs something traumatic to happen before they take any necessary positive action to correct the problem. The law is not as cautious as the public is. But it should be.

Thank you Scott. Do you have a timeline?

Where is the new Police Chief? He and his crew don't seem to anxious to do anything to remedy the problem. In the meantime, I just hope no one gets seriouly injured.

It's not just people that are just passing through. My neighbors speed through too. We have confronted them several times, and they have started to be more of a nuisance than before. Cussing as they speed by because we asked them to slow down. The problem is escalating. It really needs to be addressed, and not pushed off to the side
