As an owner on Feyette St, I don’t see any issues with the planter. The wheelchair access can be addressed by removal of the brick surface-to replace with asphalt or concrete

Planters around tree wells are a city-wide pedestrian and handicapped hazard. Planting things in them too close to the tree trunk can sicken the tree. Most of all: they are a serious trip hazard for pedestrians by dint of being higher than the sidewalk. In fact the lower the perimeter material (& there are many), the greater the hazard to pedestrians with and without disabilities. I thought the Pedestrian Comm. and the DPW did not approve of these citizen-installed barriers to mobility! Why has the city ignored this Click Fix complaint for the last 8 months? Yes, the complaint mistakenly uses "botanical obstruction." The obstruction (to opening a car door) is NOT the street tree; it is the lumber around the tree well. The DPW incorrectly “recategorized” this as “tree removal request.” The original complaint asked only that the planter perimeter be removed.
