AGAIN: STOP "closing" case merely due to report being forwarded to an department. Only close AFTER problem FIXED. In this case, don't close until AFTER signs are ALL GONE!
9/12/2013 - Service Review: Richmond Zoning Mgmt (20020897620) noted there are not violations at this location when observation was done - case file closed on 6/26/2013 - rtt
Please post WHO said NOT violation. Explain WHY not violate City code section 19-22 ! REOPEN! And if refer to wrong agency, then FIX system problem of wasting time with WRONG referal! These violations should have been abated weeks ago. Since within block of 4100 Hull St. (City's southside service center), and route police frequent (precinct at 177 E. Belt Bv.), many city staff should help report such violations.
WHO in city government IS RESPONSIBLE for such incompetency?
9/13/2013 - Thanks for communication BA. Technically for the fastest turnaround time for reporting Right of Way Ad Sign Violations, I would respectfully request that you report those to directly to DPW by dialing 646-0435. A DPW Inspector can make a determination as to whether the signs are on the private property of the strip mall or on City right of way medians. If they are on the private property of the strip mall, the City may not be able to intervene with the placement/posting of the ad sign. Also, entering these violation reports online on SCF OTHERS may involve a longer turn around time. This initial inspection was done in May and the ticket closed in June and during a Service Review this week the SCF Ticket was closed with this information. If we have 500 items on the list, we try to work the list sequentially to ensure all of our citizens are receiving attention. If there is a pending emergency of course that will take priority.

Thanks. Saw signs early this morning, but gone later by evening. For years I'd been emailing DPW, sometimes calling; but when staff asked me instead to use SeeClickFix, I tried that. Unhappily, like 311, SeeClickFix seems often to slow process, maybe mis-directed in bureaucracy. I prefer contacting specific staff who can be accountable to resolve problem (like Darlene Mallory).
This SCF case includes when I reported other signs there months ago. Different signs appeared few weeks ago. Often challenging after reporting via SCF to later return to same case for additional comments.
