Description

Wayne Werle Hi; I just got back from a walk around the neighborhood, beautiful day fore one. On me may I noticed east of the Tukwila Community Center, under the west side, the downhill end, of the I-5 overpass, at S129th ST, East of the Tukwila Community Center, by Codiga Park. Under the “wooden built” over pass, there is one BIG tent. You can see it when you are on Railroad Ave, looking under the overpass. I didn’t see anyone around it, now I didn’t go over and look either. I Think that would be more of one of Tukwila’s finest job to go look into this. The biggest problem I see with this big tent being there is the increase of FIRE. Either from cooking or trying to keep worm at night. Nonetheless, the increase of FIRE, is a big thing to me and everyone that uses the overpass.
Just think, if that overpass were to be damaged by a fire from someone living in that tent and was found unsafe to drive over, just think of the traffic problems there would be there. I bet at least 45,000 or more, cars and trucks use that over pass every day to get to and from Martin Luther King Jr Way S. It just seams unsafe to have someone living under a wooden built overpass.
And yes, there was one other thing I seen that might need looking into before Spring rains come and the Duwamish River gets high again. Under the I-5 overpass, that goes over the Duwamish River, on the on the railroad side. Some good fellow, stopped on Railroad Ave, under I-5, and dropped off about 50 or more used tires. I must say THANK YOU, I just love spending our tax dollars on cleaning up your trach. Something you have already charged your customer for disposing of the right way. The city might like to look into this before the next high tide.
Thanks for reading my little RANT. It was another good North West day for a walk around the neighborhood.
