Let's start a petition and get the city to get their head out of their @**. They spent how much money on Bellows where NOTHING was needed and this intersection is horrible. You take your life in your hands going through here during the week. It needs a light with left turns.
needs a light or something. People assume that it is a four way stop at times and this is dangerous since it is a two way stop that has left turning lanes along with right/straight lanes...
I'm not a huge roundabout fan but it's probably the best option for this corner, considering its proximity to the light on Mission. As it is now, I avoid this corner at all costs. Too dangerous and too congested.
4 way stops might be a fix if it did not back up traffic from Mission and also Arby's would never make it out! It would be better as right-turns only off East Campus! Not the way some might want to go, but it would flow!
NOT a round about. I would hope after 5 attempts and numerous drive throughs of the one on bellows the city would finally realize that a roundabout is NOT a good thing.
I would also like to add that the city engineer said that he interviewed neighbors near bellows and we LOVe the roundabout. Not one of us have ever seen the man, much less been interviewed by him. It would of been better planned at campus and bellows. Where it is currently located, it just needs to be pulled out and the road restored or a stop put there. You can not get out of Arnold and on to Bellows in a safe fashion without running a risk of getting t-boned on your passenger side door. Dumb, DUMB, DUMB waste of money.
