Description
Stop sign at Knotts/Langford Parkway E entrance has been knocked down. Sign is laying in grass. Traffic heading west into Colonial Hill’s is NOT stopping. I was almost hit/t boned today by a speeding car that was 1. Speeding into the subdivision and 2. Not stopping because the sign is on the ground. I didn’t know it hadn’t been fixed yet because it was 1. Dark and 2. There are no lights there to see that the sign is STILL not fixed. This was reported days ago. I am pretty sure at this point, with the various reports, the city would be liable if someone hit someone else. This needs to be addressed TODAY and it has been reported to emergency services multiple times.

Acknowledged. Correction the stop sign was replaced by GDOT 2 days ago and now you're reporting it knocked down again. The city staff did respond immediately and install a temporary stop sign. GDOT was contacted and they replaced the stop sign. Report to to GDOT your complaint about liability.
The temporary stop sign we installed was damaged and the second temporary sign set was missing when GDOT replaced the stop sign. Seems to be a lot of vandalism not being reported.

In response to not reporting vandalism:
I didn’t ever notice a replacement or temporary sign- it seems like the additional vandalism was so quick that those of us that drive that way often may have assumed it simply wasn’t replaced yet.
