Description

the homeless camp behind central self storage has scattered a large amount of trash around there tents. this is terrible. its one thing to need a place to sleep but another to trash out a entire area. this leads to rodent, bugs, and wild/stray animals . we need to do something about this problem. just pushing people down the tracks is not working. it hurts are businesses, it hurts are city, it hurts are people. the homeless problem is out of control. we need to do something about this now

They moved out of this location long enough for the authorities to leave and then moved right back in. I saw them camping in the doorway of the Animal Clinic a couple of nights ago, too, when it was raining. A new tactic needs to be used because whatever is being done now is completely ineffective!
Remember, the definition of insanity is: Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Sadly so many businesses along A Street and the waterfront are empty or closing. I'm sure the garbage, blight, and criminal behavior are big reasons for it. We need to make improving this main arterial a priority so that our northern neighborhoods can flourish. The eminent closure of Grocery Outlet on 18th and A Streets will leave many residents in this area without a nearby grocery store.

The City is spending nearly $500,000 to improve its image, come on folks start with the basics.The City will never have a better image until we control blight and get a handle on the homeless crisis. TBA
