Description

Is it legal to have a basketball hoop in the street? I've asked the police and town manager this same question and there are some conflicting answers.
Aside that it takes away from the looks of the neighborhood and is a obsticale to have to maneuver around, my main concern about this is I don't appreciate the lack of respect for mine or the other neighbors property from the teenage kids that are playing in the street. I don't want the stray basketballs, footballs, skateboards, bicycles, cigarette butts, uninvited neighborhood kids or their friends coming onto my property. They have already broken a picket on a neighbors fence with a football and there sports equipment, or other belongings are always landing in and sometimes damaging neighbors flower gardens. This, plus that annoying bouncing of the basketballs, their loud off color language, and their disrespect is terrible.
