It may be better to coordinate the lights similar to Orange Dr and Nob Hill Rd. Even better would be to allow traffic to have full movement similar to the Nob Hill intersection.
Thank you for your feedback regarding Pine Island Road.
Pine Island Road is a County Roadway. Therefore, we have contacted Broward County Traffic Engineering regarding the issues you highlighted. They informed us that they will undertake a study to assess the justification for the installation of southbound DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION (DNBI) signs at the subject intersection.
This is a step-by-step process. The process starts with the signage, if the queues continue to the block the subject intersection after enforcement, they will follow-up with a queue study to consider the installation of the pavement markings.
A simple turn to red :30 seconds after griffin turns red will allow the intersection to be free and allow eastbound traffic from orange to make the proper right turns into the lanes
Ongoing problem with the pedestrian cross walk button. That light is not normally a “traffic” light so most drivers are never prepared to stop there when they have the green at Griffin some yards away.
The crosswalk needs to affect BOTH lights to actually be safe
