Description

Over the past few weeks I have observed multiple instances of reckless behavior by operators of the for fee motorized scooters here in Temescal as well as in the downtown area. What is the City doing to regulate the use of these scooters? They have no business being used on City Sidewalks and just today I observed a grown man operating one on 21st Street near Harrison actually driving into cross traffic and failing to observe the traffic signals. These motorized scooters are a public safety hazard. How are they being treated? Are they to observe the rules of the road like bicycles? Are they supposed to be operated on City Side Walks? These scooters are adding to the many problems faced by drivers in the congested areas such as Temescal and Downtown. The City needs to address this issue promptly.
