Description

There is a large swath of damage in an area of the forest nearest the trail that runs adjacent to the off leash dog park. It started as a small mound that youth on bikes would use. That was last year. This year there are several mounds, a large turn-round at the end, and trails on each side for returning to the top of the trail. The mounds are about 4 to 5 feet across. They have dug deep trenches, cut trees and logs, and hauled broken asphalt paving to the site to bolster the mounds. It's hideous and it breaks my heart. Who can you muster to deal with this? The area is right between Shoreline CC and Shoreline Park. It will probably take a small back hoe or a large workgroup to repair the damage. Oh, and let me add that it's not very sturdy and there are no fall zones and I think someone could get seriously hurt using it.
