I thought the PD was involved automatically, or that the proper PW Dept would contact them. PW is who installed the barriers. You are right. Someone should contact BPDI will. More effective is more follow suit.

Cars still parked there, either race track workers or park n ride cars, still blocking egress from path, still dangerous, still parked on "No Parking" markings.

My last comment. Berkeley won't do anything about the illegally-parked cars that block bike path egress. So, I am closing the issue.
