Description
There are two turn lanes onto Franklin Road from Telegraph just south of Square Lake Road. Road markings as well as signs indicate that the right lane must go straight through the intersection onto Franklin Road. Completely ignoring the signs, drivers in the right lane try continually try to make a “Michigan left” from the wrong lane to go north on Telegraph. These drivers are completely oblivious to the cars in the left lane that are going legally going straight through the light, and as a result I have had a couple dozen close calls in the last year (I drive that road every day). I have to either honk or slam on my brakes, and never once have I seen any of these drivers attempt to slow down. To make matters worse, these drivers do not use turn signals. With all of the construction underway on Telegraph Road, it seems that somehow correcting the turning pattern would be advisable to prevent future collisions.
