Evening rush hour is doubly so on Edie Road, with motorcycles exceeding 80 MPH and cars doing 60. We need the NY State Police to show some presence!

I couldn't agree more! The problem is not presence, but enforcement. The NYSP & Sheriff's office uses our road dozens of times a day, but only when they're responding to portions of the Town of Saratoga & Saratoga Lake.
What will it take to slow these folks down? A pet getting killed? Or worse, a person?

This has been an issue for a long time. I went up the chain of command 10 years ago complaining of the speeding. It resulted in speaking with someone in Albany who said the town had to reclassify the road. Evidently, the road was "listed" years ago, and still is, as a "thorough fare from rt 29 to exit 16 with sparse housing". It needs to be updated! There are many homes now and many people and children walking, biking and waiting for busses. It is no longer allowed as a thorough fare for trucks from rt. 29 to exit 16 but it still happens. And the speeding is simply ridiculus. Especially now that the Target warehouse is at Exit 16. Watch the cars zoom by at shift changes!
THE FIX: REDUCE THE SPEED LIMIT TO 35MPH.
