Description
anywhere from 7am on it can take up to 3 or 4 light changes to get thru that intersection to get on the turnpike.
the first problem is all the people that are in the lane that supposed to go straight, they get up to the light and cut you off, turning into the turn lane. meanwhile you have waited for about 10 min to get to the intersection, and they drive right in, over the solid white line mind you. if those police officers on the motorcycles would park there and give tickets, they would have a field day, or the traffic would move more smoothly, one of the two.

You are correct, Jennie, this is a law enforcement issue, and I have referred your complaint to the Hollywood Police Department via their website ('Hollywoodpdtips@hollywoodfl.org').
However, I have also sent this to Broward County Traffic Engineering, which maintains all the traffic signals in the county, in case they want to address the back-up here via signalization.
I have also forwarded this to DOT's Traffic Operations unit, in case they have any input.
I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you for your e-mail to Mayor Peter Bober requesting a solid divider so cars heading westbound on Hollywood Boulevard cannot get into the turnpike entrance from other than the turning lane.
Your e-mail was forwarded to the City's Department of Public Utilities, Engineering & Construction Services Division for their investigation and response, and City Engineer Jonathan Vogt advised the following:
