This property was photographed on Wednesday and that photo is attached. A winter parking ban was in effect during that time and the Yard Parking provision of the ordinence is not enforceable during a winter parking ban. The property owner was notified of the conditions and a re-inspection was scheduled for today.

Parking on lawns or yards in residential districts prohibited.

(1)
It shall be unlawful for any vehicle to be parked on any lawn or yard in any area in Wards 1, 2 and 3. It shall also be unlawful for any vehicle to be parked on any lawn or yard in any area in Wards 5 or 6 located north of a projected line extending along the centerline of Howard Street from the western boundary to the eastern boundary of the city. Lawn or yards are defined for the purposes of this subsection to be any open space not approved by the department of planning and zoning as an area for vehicular egress and ingress or parking.

The prohibitions in subsection (1) shall not be in effect during a declared parking ban pursuant to section 20-56

The property manager and the tenants have been advised that any vehicle parked off the pavement will be ticketed.

The bllack vehicle that was a few inches off the pavement Wednesday was removed by the owner after the explanation. This issue is closed.
