We have cleaned this section of trail (inside the maintained trail corridor) on many occasions. The trash that is being reported may be what is scattered out well beyond the maintained trail area out into the woods, swamp and flood plain. The Greenway Division along with Walnut Creek Wetland Center scheduled a clean-up day with the Wake County Big Sweep program this past weekend Saturday, March 23rd. Volunteers were there to pick up trash on this section of trail. Hopefully this will address the concerns of all the trash in this area.
