Description

This area at the bottom of the US-23 elevation has collected trash and refuse blocking a drain. Not sure who is responsible - City, County, MDOT, Pittsfield Twp., etc. It is unsightly and a haven for rodents. Act quickly before it is grown in by wild foliage.

Two weeks ago I witnessed 3 men in ties looking over the area mentioned, but it appeared that each simply shrugged their shoulders and they walked off in the direction of Pittsfield Twp. and nothing has changed since.

As of Sept. 4th the situation has not changed. The regular maintenance of the grass on the southern incline was completed again but NOT on the northern (again). The trash remains as before.

This situation has not changed. Obviously it is a good one. Additionally - the north side "gullet" has begun collecting trash as well - it is destroying the Huron watershed - all the while they are building these rain gardens.

Can we save doing another wasted "Rain Garden" and have somebody clear this garbage that is leaking into the Huron Watershed? I watched the County fix the Swift Run at Fernwood underpass - why can't the City do this?

I give up. Nobody wants to claim responsibility. Maybe the homeless guy who sleeps under the overpass will do it.
