Description

Extension of new sidewalks are needed from van rensselaer Blvd. through the intersection of rt 9 and menands rd/ osbourne to albany shaker rd. It is a safety hazard to the many residents living along these roads, as well as the elementary school located at this intersection. Not only is this a safety concern, but it is a future benefit to the community. There are often children and adults biking and jogging along these busy roads. Additionally, the cross light at the intersection does not work, and it is not clear or safe as to how to cross this intersection as a pedestrian. Sidewalks would also provide access to the park located at rt 9 and menands road intersection.
