I feel unsafe passing the encampments blocking both sides of the street. There is not room to pass on the sidewalks so I have to walk in the street, and some of the people are intimidating. I've seen syringes being used, urination, intoxication. The feces, food scraps and litter are a health hazard that spreads down Stevenson. We have recently had vandalism to our door buzzer systems, an apartment building lobby break-in, car break-ins. These homeless encampments have not been tied directly to these crimes but they certainly make our neighborhood look neglected and an inviting target for criminals.

This is next to our building everyday! We've tried to get SFPD, outreach, etc to enforce laws. Yet nothing works! @supejanekin @bevan_dufty

Sidewalks are impassable on both sides of street this morning. Sidewalks are required by law to provide a minimal clearance for people with disabilities so that they may use the sidewalk instead of entering the roadway. Police do not enforce sit lie nor ADA putting individuals with and without disabilities in danger when they are unable to use the sidewalk. We call every day. I tweet a pic of the encampment to gov't officials every morning. This is against the law. Please help us! It's so unsanitary on our street. Pretty sure it's not legal to have things be covered in human filth. The city should be ashamed that they let it get this bad.

This actual issue is closed but new bums sleep there every other day.
