Description

Davis Street, 3300 block is getting worse with potholes again. Several times I have stepped in or walked in a pothole when I get out of my car or walk across the street. I'm worried one day I'll twist my ankle or worse yet fall. Some major streets around Oakland are getting re-paved, repaired and nice bright white lines painted on them. Unfortunately the side streets are not getting any attention. My street, Davis St is a major road traveled between Fruitvale and 35th Ave, especially during commute hours. Over the last several decades the street has had new blacktop laid down the middle of the road. However, since the new road is not extending to the curbs the street is steep in the middle in relation to the curb. How can I put in a request to get the 3300 block of Davis Street grated down some and re-paved? It's very dangerous with pot holes popping up constantly, especially getting out of a car at night. I'm an Oakland native and lived here 64 years. I pay taxes to my city but I really feel there should be more funds spent on the inner city neighborhoods road conditions. If this is not the right website to get things moving please let me know. Thank You
