Impossible to make a left from either East or West Pleasant Grove Road onto Route 202. There are way too many close calls and accidents here, particularly making the left onto 202 from Westminster Presbyterian Church area.
there is a sign saying no left turn at these intersections ......... coming out from west Pleasant grove trying to go south is still very hard to merge with teh amt of cars on 202. For people trying to go straight to go to the church or school its a killer for sure.
Agreed, this is a dangerous intersection with many "close calls" as cars try to cross 202 or turn left onto 202. A stoplight would be nice, and if that's not possible maybe a side road that takes you up to the Skiles/Stetson school stoplight would be an alternative.
The suggestion below to turn right onto 202 then make a U-turn at the next light is not advised, as there's a no U-turn sign at the rte. 926/street rd. intersection.
Ditto - The intersection is dangerous and unsafe. Penn Dot has been notified and hopefully a traffic survey will change things in the near future. Please encourage friends and family to take township roads instead of making left/righs onto route 202.
Agreed, need some type of solution to make traffic turning from either East or West Pleasant Grove Road safer, too many close calls especially for people leaving the churches with their children. Hopefully the traffic survey will help resolve the dangerous this dangerous situation.
A traffic survey?? For waht, to tell everyone and confirm that there is a lot of traffic on this road??? People use S. Concord as an alternate to RT202 unfortuanately. A survey is a waste of our taxes. Just put in spped cntrols, speed bumps or something to slow people down when they use S.Concord, don't need a survey to tell us to do that.
It's not a huge deal to put a traffic light up. Please do so before someone dies here. It's bad enough that we had a Stetson School Bus hit at this intersection. What are you waiting for, PENNDOT?
Mon2_5,
That just it, it is a big deal to put up a light or do anything that involves PennDOT or any other State or local Govt org, they move like molasses, spend your tax dollars and typically deliver nothing. It will take someone getting killed for them to finally look at it but no gurantees they do anything.
A traffic signal should be placed here and a turning lane made for right hand turns in the southbound lane of 202. Too many times have there been close calls because of people trying to turn here with little warning to drivers behind them.
