Description
Within the past few months, Sanderson St was resurfaced. Since that time, the behavior of the traffic signal at the intersection of Sanderson St and Old Monrovia has changed. I have driven through this intersection between 7:45 AM and 8 AM nearly every weekday for the past 11 years, and the traffic for Old Monrovia traffic would always be green during this time unless there was traffic sitting on Sanderson or the old mall exit. I assume that meant there was a sensor detecting traffic on Sanderson/mall exit. Now, the light turns red for Old Monrovia even when there is no traffic on Sanderson/mall exit. I have experienced this multiple times. Is this new operation intentional, or is it a consequence of the repaving or a broken detector?
