Why is 28th Street between S. Lang and S. Arlington Ridge Rd. a one way street? There is so much congestion on Glebe and Arlington Ridge during rush hour and not being able to take this road just adds to the congestion.

There's a school near by and young kids running around the area, thus keeping the rush hour congestion away, directional and limited is safer. It's a small residential street that does not need added traffic nor could handle it without limiting street parking, and minimal added construction. Traffic can be tight but it works the way it is and keeps it safe. I would also add that if allowed for two-way traffic; someone trying to come out from that onto Arlington Ridge in either direction would require an additional directional light.
