Description

Excessive Speed in pedestrian crossing zone. There's no dispute that Huron Ave is a high vehicular traffic area, however, it is also an area with a lot of pedestrian crossing and many times they are composed by kids and pets. The only cross walk available on this stretch is a 10 ft wide pedestrian crossing that does nothing to slow down cars early enough to allow a safe crossing. It also appears that as soon as you step out of the pedestrian crossing, drivers are free to scream/gesticulate at the pedestrians, many times "daring" pedestrians to cross. It's a poor system that sooner or later will lead to deathly accidents.
