Description
It used to be that this street light would show green to all the cars on Stockton Avenue as its standard setting. It would only cycle when a pedestrian pressed the button to cross Stockton Avenue or the induction loops would pick up cars awaiting on Richmond Street.
Ever since a few months ago, when power was knocked out to the intersection, this system has broken. It now constantly cycles, showing red to Stockton Ave. and green to Richmond Street even when there are no cars awaiting at the light. I have come across this intersection while on Stockton Avenue at 2am, some nights, only to have to stop at the light and wait while no cars made use of the green. I wouldn't be complaining about this if I didn't know that it used to function correctly. Due to this failure in the cycle, past 8pm, cars are constantly stopped on Stockton Avenue for no reason, as Richmond Street has barely any traffic. The light should go back to functioning by being triggered by the induction loops which now serve absolutely no purpose. Thank you!
