It would help if cars would actually stop at the stop signs to begin with. A little ticketing might help.

If you lived on Kipling 1300 and 1400 blocks, you wouldn't have this problem. Our street is in such horrific condition you could not possibly speed through it! Good luck with your request. I ahven submitted at least 5 requests for street improvements.

True, Lori. People probably get so excited to have two blocks of the best pavement in the neighborhood that they put their pedal to the metal in excitement.

It is a serious issue, however, not just the speeding but also the stop sign running.

Some of the stop sign running may be accidental. It's seemingly random in our neighborhood which intersections are 2-way stops and which are 4-way stops. It might be better to just make them all 4-way.

Speed cushions are the new approach to reduce cut-through traffic and reduce excessive vehicular speeds on residential streets. The construction of speed humps was discontinued in July 2009.
