Description
Speeding traffic remains a problem on Van Buren St. between 24th and 26th Ave. Request for speed tables/speed humps, or regular enforcement of speed limit along this stretch of road. Several residents along this area of Van Buren St. have children and continue to be concerned about the danger of pulling in and out of our driveways into speeding traffic with assertive drivers along this stretch of street.

Dear Mr. Bryant c/o SeeClickFix,
Thank you for your e-mail to Mayor Peter Bober advising of your concerns with traffic calming in your neighborhood.
Your e-mail was forwarded to the City's Engineering & Construction Services as well as to the Hollywood Police Department for their investigation and response.
Project Engineer Laura Borgesi advised the following: "Van Buren Street between the 2400 and 2600 block is designated as a fire safety/evacuation route and is not eligible for traffic calming initiatives. Therefore, this becomes a police enforcement issue to regulate the speeding within the corridor. By copy of this email to HPD Lt. Scott Pardon, I am requesting that the speed details along this section of Van Buren Street be scheduled to deter motorists from speeding."
Ms. Borgesi requested that you contact her directly via telephone #(954)921-3254, if you had further traffic calming related issues that she could assist with.
Thank you again for your e-mail to Mayor Peter Bober.
Respectfully,
Cheryl Lahoud
