Are the pedestrians telling the bikers they're there? No pun intended, but this is a two-way street. Dogs, kids and people in general are dangerous to cyclists, too. If the path is meant to be shared, then it has to work both ways. Unless you're asking that anyone on that path wear a bell or horn, then you're being unfair. There are irresponsible people in general. It's not the cyclist. And believe me, a pedestrian stepping taking down a cyclist can do a lot more financial damage that you'd imagine. I'm not downplaying the physical damage that can happen both ways.

no stupid law is going to fix that any way. its a common courtesy thing. if someone's got a bell, they should ring it...otherwise, a simple "coming up on your right" warning should suffice...seriously.

Next people will be complaining that bikers are always ringing bells or beeping horns and it annoys pedestrians.

There are still people racing thru the park on bikes, coming up behind you and no warning and zooming past. There are families with little children and toddlers walking and playing. We see many folks walking dogs there too. The walkway is not meant to be a "track" for bikes. The rest of the trail going to Douglasville should be enough room for them to race and ride. Please consider banning bikes from the College Park Area.

Bikers continue to use the path for racing. Often times zooming by without warning. It is dangerous with children and dogs on leashes. Seniors also walk there too! It is startling when they go past.
