Description
At Island & Mecartney (76 Gas Station) One lane to turn left onto Island, one lane to go straight &n 3rd lane to go right. There was an arrow incorrectly in the middle lane to turn left as well. Even though is has been changed, people are still turning left and this is not being enforced. Needs traffic light so middle lane goes straight or two lanes to turn left, especially when there is heavy traffic when school is in session. Intersection is very dangerous, something needs to be done during this summer.

The Public Works Department has been reviewing this intersection, and we've found that motorists have been turning from the middle lane prior to any marking/removal of the the left turn arrows. Immediately after the removal of the left turn arrows, we installed a lane designation sign to address any confusion.
In order to address any motorist choosing to turn left from an improper lane, we will be reassigning this case to the Police for enforcement. Thank you.

This is a serious public safety problem. I don't want to complain but I've informed police and your department numerous times. Should we have a safety walk flashing signage it would greatly improve a bad situation. I've been informed last year by your dept that we'd get a stop light in April this year, however, that didn't happen. Most recently I was told September.
Personally it's empty words, because action is what the people need. No police presence either.
What's it going to take to have this situation change?
I have to go to work every day I'd like to go without a broken leg!!!
