and I wrote going north on Adams and turn right on
South Blvd. That would only mean going Eastbound
unless you don't know your directions. And if I go
a different way, you don't have to be a smart _ _ _
by saying that will give less traffic at that
intersecion. I should forward this to Patterson, to
let him know what kind of nasty people that work for
the government. I wrote this up nicely to you and
didn't act like a nasty person. Audre

The comments above were not from the Road Commission for Oakland County. Please keep in mind that anyone can post anything on this site.
It's not clear from your comments what you see as a problem. Is it the condition of the pavement, the configuration of the intersection, the timing of the traffic signal or something else?
Whatever the case, for the best results and reliable information, please report any concerns with Road Commission for Oakland County roads directly to the Road Commission. This Web site is operated by a private company, not by any governmental agency, and we are not able to constantly monitor it.
You can reach the Road Commission at 877-858-4804, via e-mail at dcsmail@rcoc.org or via our Web site at www.rcocweb.org (click on "contact us").
Thank you for your assistance.

it anymore.

to fix it, people will stop going that way and the business will not be getting all the business they need and we can tell them it is
your fault. We tried, at least 10 people did but more looked at it. fix it or forget it.

Hi Audre,
Please stay constructive. The Road Commission is interested in fixing this issue, but they need your cooperation in order to do so. I understand that it can be frustrating not to get an immediate response but these things take time. The Oakland Road Commission is genuinely trying to help fix this issue.
Please email me at contact@seeclickfix.com if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Annelies

Audre:
As noted before, please contact the Road Commission directly and give as a more detailed explanation of what you see as the problem.
Also, please understand that while we would like to fix all the problems on the roads, we do not have the resources to do so. However, once we understand the issue, we can determine if the problem is severe enough to warrant the use of our very limited resources.
Unfortunately, due to years of inadequate road funding followed by the decline in road funding of the last four years, we are simply not able to maintain all the roads in the condition they should be. This will become increasingly apparent in the next couple of years as our roads deteriorate at an increasingly rapid rate. That also means that many problems that residents (and the Road Commission ) would like to see addressed will remain unfixed.
Please understand that we have 16 percent fewer employees today than we did in 2007. That means we simply don't have as many bodies available to do the work as we did in the past, and, therefore, will simply be doing less of that work.
Again, PLEASE contact the Road Commission and explain the problem you see. You can reach us toll free at 877-858-4804, via e-mail at dcsmail@rcoc.org or through our Web site, www.rcocweb.org (click on "contact us").
Finally, I hope it is clear to you which responses on this Web site are legitimately the Road Commission and which are not. Please know that the Road Commission always appreciates public input, and will never be critical of anyone who provides input or feedback.
Thank you for your concern.

I think Troy should stop spending so much money
on reduing Big Beaver and Rochester all the time,
then maybe there would be money to fix other roads.
I am sick of just seeing yellow barrols all over the
city and I don't believe it is necessary to keep maiking the roads wider and wider. Just forget
about South Blvd & Adams. no more letters please,
I don't care anymore.

Audre,
This is the second time the Road Commission has instructed you what to do, why don't you listen? Besides Big Beaver & Rochester are both State roads of responibility, not Troy.
Road Commission (Guest)
Actually, Rochester Road is a city street in Troy (It's a state highway in Rochester Hills -- M-150, but remains under the city's jurisdiction in Troy).
Big Beaver is a county road, under the jurisdiction of the Road Commission for Oakland County. However, it is the second busiest country road in the county, and one of the top busiest county roads in the entire state. Traffic volumes, congestion levels and crash statistics are the justification for improvements to the road. In addition, the city of Troy has been able to assist in paying for improvements to Big Beaver, something most other cities/villages have not been able to do. The availability of the city dollars, combined with the traffic volumes, congestion levels and crash statistics have made Big Beaver a top priority for the Road Commission for many years. Big Beaver carries more traffic than most freeways in other parts of the state and is probably the most critical east/west county road corridor in the county and one of the top non-freeway east/west corridors in the region.
Sorry to drag this conversation on further, but it is important to ensure that correct information is posted here, as well as to provide an explanation for project selection decisions that have been made by the Road Commission.
Again, thanks for your concern for the roads in Oakland County.

that comment. Do not send these anymore.

Audre,
How can we work with you if you continually to call people names and using silly comments to fix the problem. Besides, let the County or State fix Crooks & Starbatt intersection first. Thank You!
