As a resident who lives directly next to the intersection, I have heard/witnessed many *non* misses - often multiple crashes per month.

Definitely needs to be fixed! It's so dangerous trying to turn in that intersection :(

Too much traffic on high st and san leandro! Please put a traffic turn signal there, it will help the congestion so much. Just go to that intersection during rush hours and it is so unsafe!!

Yes! This is a serious problem! We can supply photos of the unbelievable crashes that have hapoened here, including vehicles being thrown and landing upside down. Turning left here at High st and San Leandro st is almost always extremely dangerous! Drivers cannot see over the tops of oncoming cars. Please do help us with a protected left turn arrow before more people are hurt! Thank you!

Please fix! I have been nearly hit on my bike here by folks turning into the oncoming lane. Very dangerous.

It has become so much of a problem that drivers are now turning into the gas station on the corner to "Cut" the line in waiting to turn from San Leandro onto High St (going towards the freeway). Basically, driver will drive onto on-coming traffic lanes and speed into the station,so dangerous!! On top of that, they go so fast through the gas station that they don't see bicyclists on the sidewalk coming up that side of the street..

well, in fairness, bicycles are not supposed to be on the sidewalk.

Although bikes are allowed in the car lanes now, riding a bicycle in the street there is extremely dangerous, just as it is for cars and pedestrians especially at the corner without a protected turn arrow! Freeway traffic is pouring in as well as speeding traffic on San Leandro st.(people for some reason drive very fast on San Leandro st!) and incoming traffic from International blvd.

There have been so many injury accidents on this corner as well as pedestrians being hit. The upsurge in traffic over the last 5 years has been tremendous. The city really needs to take action here. This is a long time in coming- we needed a light here 10 years ago. The other problem is that cars speed through this area on a regular basis - there should be large speed limit signs posted in each direction.

- A city traffic study would confirm that the addition of turn signals at this intersection would improve traffic safety and operations and capture the large volume of vehicles passing through this area as data.
- I think the date pertaining to accidents at this intersection are under-reported or not captured.
- Large tractor trailer trucks also share this multi-lane artery with cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.
- Another benefit of the addition of a turn signal would be the reduction of particulate air pollution generated by the idling diesel trucks and other motor vehicles.
- A prediction: Upcoming modifications (car lane reduction for AC Transit Bus lane) planned for International Blvd. will probably result in increased traffic on San Leandro St.

I was hit n run at this intersection on 1/10/17. Neither my insurance co, nor the OPD,police seemed to know Who keeps the records on the video cameras. So, they are pointless to have it seems.
We NEED A SET OF TURN SIGNALS HERE. WE HAVE NEEDED THEM FOR YEARS. PEOPLE LIKELY HAVE DIED FROM ALL THE WRECKS. THERE IS HARDLY A MORE DESERVING INTERSECTION IN ALL OF THE EAST BAY, MUCH LESS OAKLAND. PLS. Make this happen. Now. Cars keep hitting our building, other cars, people crossing. The dip in the street makes cars become Airborne at High and San Leandro. There's too much traffic Not to have turn signals!!!
