Description

The new development (1640 Broadway or 449 17th Street) has closed pedestrian access along the south side of 17th Street. This is not allowed according to OakDOT's January 2017 design guidance for accommodating pedestrians in construction zones. In downtown, sidewalk detours are not allowed for more than 4 hours and must have a flagger. This appears to be a permanent detour that has been present since construction started.
