Thank you for contacting City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering. Street marker blades in residential areas are typically only installed on one side of the intersection. This location was checked and the other side of the intersection is properly signed and the location in question does not require a second set of street markers. Thank you for your concern and alerting us to a potential issue.
Thanks for your response the word typically doesn't sit well with this problem because now it is a problem. Typically means that your opinion that is not base on facts or knowledge just your facts. I grew up in this neighborhood my parents and my childhood friends parents still live in the neighborhood their has always been a name plate on each and every stop/ yield sign on every corner intersection in this neighborhood my and your neighborhood. The senior citizen family or someone looking for direction on witch block or side of the street a person live should have the right to find the street name on both side of the street on top of a stop or yield sign. When I drive through my resident there are name plates on every sign wreathed it by a cross section or at the corner. So please don't give the resident your typically answer they live in the neighbor and it have always be a name plate on each and every sign.
Thank you for reaching out to us, Denise. If you would like to further discuss the street marker blade placement with Traffic Engineering, you may reach them at 256-427-6850. Your Huntsville Connect Customer Service Team
