As much as it annoys me when neighbors/businesses don't clear their sidewalks right away, the City Ordinance does allow for up to 24 hours from the end of the snowfall to remove the snow and ice.

Which would be fine if they did, but they don't. Happened every storm last winter. They leave it and it gets packed down to a sheet of ice over the course of a few days. Tomorrow will at least melt it, but it happens with their sidewalks every storm, and we would like the city to start addressing it with them so this winter isn't a repeat of the last one. If they can't afford to hire a snow removal service, I'm hopeful they will reach out to their parish, maybe get some volunteers or members' kids to help out.

Thank you to whoever cleared the church's sidewalks. Made for a much easier walk to Malden center today. Hopefully the sun will melt what's left.
