BE AWARE: A thief lives at 604 Providence St.
Yesterday (Tuesday 9-27) at 4:30pm a tenant had his ipad stolen from his car while he was moving belongings into his apartment.
He left the car unattended for 30 seconds at most and his ipad was gone. Fortunately he has a GPS security tie in with his iphone and which he immediately activated.
An hour or so later the alarm pinged and the address of stolen ipad was 604 Providence St.
Tenant went to address, confronted occupant who, after denying involvement, then saying he "found" it, handed it over when APD call was suggested.
Please lock your cars and bikes even if they are clearly on your property (even in garages), and don't think a minute of distraction isn't enough for criminals to make you a victim!

It sounds like a "crime of opportunity" to me! It's too bad that people are so desperate. Of course, he may have grown up in a household that taught him that it was okay to steal whatever you want in life.
BTW - I always lock my car doors & windows - always have, always will.
