We live at 8387 Fletcher Bay Road and have noticed the speed reductions to 25 mph radiating out from the Island Center Jiffy Mart location. Unfortunately, the 25 mph speed limit does NOT include the stretch of road that passes Island Center Hall and the curve directly south, where our driveway exits -- it remains 35 mph.

We have lived at our address for almost 35 years, and this curve has become increasingly dangerous as people use Miller/Fletcher Bay Rd as a north-south arterial. The curve just south of Island Center Hall, where the speed is still 35 mph, is especially hazardous with cars parked along this stretch when events are held at the Hall. We would like to make a request to the City to lower the 35 mph speed to 25 mph on Fletcher Bay Road between High School Road and Island Center Hall. It doesn't make sense to have 25 mph speed limits north of the 4-way "Jiffy Mart" stop and not a similar stretch north of it.
