Description
Several open ditches along the north side of NW 190th St., between 8th and 10th NW, are full of leaves at the down slope end where they go into pipes. They seem like they could clog at the first big rain. One ditch is so full of over growth that you cannot tell it's condition. Another ditch on 11th NW at NW 190th feeds into the system, and has only been cleaned by me, but I'm not sure of the pipe condition where it enters the underground. If that ditch was covered, and a drain plate put on it, I'd consider landscaping above it. Thanks, Glenn Cannon, 1024 NW 190th, phone 206 546 3537.

Our Surface Water Department inspected the ditches and removed leaves and debris from areas where the potenial for clogging was present. Some ditches with excessivbe growth in them were determined to be funcional and an immediate need for vegetation maintenance was not warranted.
