Description

Recent construction from the Catholic Diocese and the Pullen Road extension are endangering commuters on the Rocky Branch greenway and violating the City of Raleigh's NPDES enforcement permit. The accompanying photo shows evidence of significant volumes of sediment flow from a normal rain event. The remaining silt/clay also creates a dangerous obstacle for cyclists. Please address both the sediment pollution from the improper stormwater management upstream and the danger to cyclists from stormwater sediment.
I suggest a BMP (bioretention or regenerative stormwater conveyance) from the exit of the new outflow to the greenway intersection with culvert drainage under the greenway. Thank you for your consideration!
