Description
AN AREA OF ROAD STRETCHING ALMOST A HALF MILE NORTH OF ROUTE 25A ON FRESH POND ROAD IN NORTHPORT/FORT SALONGA IS LITTERED WITH MANY POTHOLES, SOME ARE DANGEROUSLY DEEP AND WIDE CREATING UNSAFE PASSAGE ESPECIALLY ON THE SIDE CLOSEST TO FRESH POND LAKE WHERE THERE IS NO SHOULDER TO SAFELY PULL OVER WITHOUT POSSIBLY GOING OFF THE EMBANKMENT.

I agree - Very scary on the right side of the road where it just seems to nearly fall into the water!
Also, there is a large cyclone fence/mesh/net-like junk pile in the lake. What the heck is that???? Quite an eyesore in an otherwise wonderful little paradise.

dissapointed I haven't heard from any officials who claim to work for Public Safety and Highways. Just as dissappointing is that my fellow neighbors are afraid to speak up and rally more support for such an important situation and reasonable request since we pay such high taxes. Can anyone help?

action at all to date. As Summer approaches in less
than two weeks, traffic is increasing tenfold on Fresh Pond road. Local residents as well as visitors want to utilize the Lake and the beach and it's a dangerous situation especially for cars speeding through the area unfamiliar with it's associated hazards. I feel like no is listening and won't react until GOD forbid someone gets hurt or runs off the road into the lake! I can really relate to the old adage, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there, does it make a noise? Singed by a very dissgusted Glenn Henderson.
