Description

Road was dug up and patched POORLY all through the borough. The bumps are ridiculous! When is this going to be repaved?

The patch job identified in this email is a North Penn Water Authority project, awarded to a contractor inspected by PENNDOT. The Borough of Hatfield has no jurisdiction over this work. The Borough replaced 200 feet of storm water pipe and three inlets taking 3 days to complete. This project has dragged on for 5 months with inspection provided by N.P Water and PENNDOT. Please address your concerns to PENNDOT the North Penn Water Authority or your state Representative. Thank you.

The Borough has jurisdiction over all the roads in the borough. We do not pay taxes to NPWA. It is ridiculous that you allow a utility company to come in and damage your road and not demand they fix it.

Agreed. Hatfield Borough's Main Street has been rough going for a long time, and only got rougher when NPWA started digging up the road, then doing a shoddy job patching ("repaving") what they dug up. That whole section from Main & Broad St. up to Snyder Square is long overdue for a real repaving.

I do my grocery shopping at Landis and not Giant in Hatfield because driving on Cowpath is a nightmare!
