Your request via Tukwila Works has been closed. Thank you for the suggestion for a sweeping schedule. Unfortunately, staffing shortages and current work loads make it difficult to give advanced warning of when the sweeper will be on a particular street. The Street Department does not have a designated full time sweeper operator.

Thank you for your response to our inquiry regarding obtaining a street sweeper schedule. Since a schedule isn't possible at this time, might we be able to request that when the street sweeper does come into the neighborhood, that he/she sweep up against the edge of the street? We live on a cul-de-sac and rarely see the sweeper go around the actual perimeter of the road, even when there are no cars parked on the street. Usually we notice the sweeper just does a u-turn. That makes sense if cars are in the way, but if they aren't, it would be great to see the road get a thorough sweeping up to the curb. 😊
