Description
This street has become a nightmare to try to drive through at 70% of the time due to vehicles parked far from the curb directly across from one another. This makes traffic very dangerous due to children running out from parked cars. I would like to see parking allowed on ONLY 1 SIDE of the Street.
The city of St. Petersburg sanitation and recycler trucks, UPS Fedex all have a hard time almost daily to get to the end of the dead end street to turn around. A large number of cars which could be in driveways are purposely left out in the street for No reason blocking neighborhood traffic flow. Lawn maintenance units park in the street. Even 1 neighbor just the other day had his truck mirror broken due to tight quarters opening.
Please provide signage indicating lawful parking on only 1 side of the street to remedy this.

Parking restrictions are installed in one of 3 ways:
1 - if there is an immediate hazard like a curve or corner restriction
2 – if Fire / Police / Sanitation indicate that they cannot safely pass
3 – if a petition of all residents is submitted
I will initiate a request immediately for No. 2 and advise of their determination. Please advise me directly if you would be willing to initiate No. 3 at michael.frederick@stpete.org

No, I am not willing to ask the people who are parking in the street for their signature on a petition to restrict them from doing what they are responsible for.
Doesn't matter that much to me.
We can just wait till a child gets hurt because of this problem that you've been made aware of. That should suffice. We have a problem, You have been made aware of it, maybe you'll act on it. If not I'll blow the whistle in living color once disaster happens and let the media know of this conversation. Thanks Mr. Fredrick.
PS. the photo is a quiet day on our street.

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
