The City of Oakland Public Works Department has received this issue. It is registered as service request #675587. Please check back for status updates, or contact us directly at 510-615-5566.
Hopefully the City will address this before Montclair goes the way of East Oakland, which effectively has been told "too bad" and issues are often left open for a month with multi false statement closures by City works pretending they did the job
Meanwhile - enjoy our gallery of Dumping in East Oakland to see what the future might look like
To confirm, this cased proves that indeed response in Montclair is quite different that low income areas of Oakland. Near our framing production space in East Oakland, tires would be 3-4 weeks. We are lucky to remove stripped burned out cars in that time. Homeless - forget about it. They live there.
Thank you city of Oakland that you were able to address this issue in a short period of time. We are grateful for what you can do.
All the same as Bennett points out - we would like you to take on a mission of constant improvement and focus on small areas to start with so as not to get terribly overwhelmed. As well - with focus on small areas, the before and after (cleanup) can feel quite motivating to address other small areas.
One step at a time and as tax payers of the city we recognize you have limitations but there is also some civic responsibility beyond the job itself. this is what we are looking for at one level.

we have yet to determine if this is negligence or willful false statements - the City is not talking.
