Interesting that 1714 Atchison complains about parking problems when THEY are the problem. This house has 6 vehicles parked on the 1700 block of Atchison daily. On weekends it's usually more. Girlfriends, tenants, guests that stay longer than 24 hours.
We have handicapped, elderly, and residents with young children. We are all courteous and park 2 vehicles each in front of our respective houses. 1714 parks 6 on a regular basis...often more on weekends and make parking a nightmare for all of us on a regular basis.
Yes it's a public street...but it's also called common courtesy and respect. If you have guests, tenants, and girlfriends parking on the block...have them park on 117th where there's a plethora of parking availability.
Funny that you seem to know exactly how many vehicles come to 1714 which in reality your wrong. 6 cars? Wrong. 3 cars 4 at the most but we still park in front of our home cause not all 3 cars are always home at the same time. Rarely those cars park in someone elses spot cause I'm all about common courtesy. I also have children and a disabled mother that visits from time to time.
The grey ford ranger parked in front of 1718 nearly everyday?! That homeowner is elderly and never has her parking spot. The gold maxima that parks all over the place? The blue lesabre that whiting PD had to cite since it sat...without moving for weeks (thank you for finally moving that vehicle, by the way).
It's a nice, quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We all have two vehicle and park in front of our own houses. Any additional cars can park on 117th. Let's all just help and respect each other. Not a war of words. We just all saw the complaint about fest parking and are using the opportunity to talk about the real parking issue on the block.
Buick was on hammonds side but was never cited because it was in front of my home. And not a problem it gives more parking for everyone else. Im totally open with conversation so no harm done i promise. Im all for looking out for my neighbors as best i can. Have a great weekend
The grey ford ranger constantly parked in front of the elderly ladies house at 1718? The gold maxima that parks all over the place? If you'd like I can start taking pictures and documenting this on a daily basis. Let's all look out for and respect each other. No need for a war of words. Let's all just respect and help each other here. It's a quiet, nice, peaceful neighborhood. We all saw this complaint about fest parking and were like...whoa...wait a minute. Let's talk about the REAL parking issue on the block.
I'M Not Sure If This Inquiry Is A Code Violation Or Not. The Newly Built House On 1618 Central. The Downspouts On The Back Of The Garage Extend Close To Alley. With The Rains Lately it floods that part of the alley. Thank You.
