Description
Petition to add a 4-way stop sign at 28th and Adeline. The stretch on Adeline between 32nd and West Grand are without any stop signs or lights. It is a speeding hazard, especially with the frequency of trucks loading along Adeline between 30th and 28th. Cars waiting at the stop sign at 28th have poor visibility and are surprised by a speeding car barreling down Adeline. I've seen at least 3 accidents in the last month, and often pedestrians are ignored while waiting for cars to notice them on the side. Please help us fix this problem!

I ride my bicycle to work every day down 28th st, and I have to cross Adeline during the morning and evening commute. It is definitely a difficult intersection to navigate, especially on a bike. There are often large trucks parked along the side of the road, or buses at the bus stop, and it makes it very hard to see without pulling out dangerously far out into the intersection. Cars on Adeline are often speeding, and other times they will stop and try to wave me across in front of them, regardless of the three other lanes of traffic speeding around them. I do not cross unless I have the right of way, because it is very dangerous to myself and the other cars on the road, but sometimes I have to wait a very long time to get a safe opening.
It is also very bad as a pedestrian, because some cars stop for the crosswalk, and others do not. On a multiple lane road this can lead to some pretty dangerous situations.
