Description
Someone is living on the sail boat in the park! It's one thing if he owns the dock... But he doesn't. There is trash all around this junk lot of a boat. Please can the city do something.

Reply from Marine Patrol: I went out on July 3rd and spoke to the owner of the vessel, who is one of our local transients, who frequently moves around from place to place. He is tied to a private dock, but produced receipts showing he is paying for slip rental. The "trash" mentioned in the complaint is actually his personal possessions, which are piled up on the deck of his boat. I advised him if he did not want to draw negative attention, he should do some housecleaning and he stated he would. In short, he is there legally, but just has an ugly boat. There are no laws or ordinances being violated at this time, but I will continue to monitor the situation. This was all documented on police report #16-030572 if you need to refer to it. If you have any additional questions or need more information, let me know.
Thanks,
Officer Michael Robertson
